I understand “Z” can just be “L2,” or something like that, but the C buttons, as you mentioned, currently don’t map unless you try to map them to the retropad stick.

Using anything other than an N64 controller for N64 games just feels… wrong. Is there a reason for this in N64, or maybe I have something messed up on my end?
Mayflash gamecube adapter pc mapping mac os#
Compatible: Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7,Windows 8,32 bit and 64 bit and Mac OS under the PC mode. Switch mode by using the switch located on the side. I’ve also noticed that to map the stick, there’s just weird unlabeled X, X and Y, Y values for the stick instead of the usual “Joystick Up =, Joystick Down =, etc” that I’ve seen in the bsnes/nestopia cores for my xb360 controller. The GameCube controller adapter allows you to connect up to two GameCube controllers (or wireless GameCube controllers) to a Wii u system, PC USB, Switch. I’ve seen similar older threads about this issue here, but it doesn’t look like anyone has found a clear solution, or maybe I’m missing something. Is there a separate N64 “A” and “B” option in addition to the C buttons and everything else? I understand that the Retropad buttons mirror the SNES controller, so i get that “C-Right” is Retropad’s “A” button, and C-down is probably the retropad’s B button. It doesn't react.Hello, I’m trying to use genuine N64 controllers with Retroarch (connected via Mayflash USB adapter.) I’m trying to map everything 1:1, but the problem is that I don’t see a dedicated mapping for the N64 controller’s “A” and “B” buttons in RA’s input options - those are labeled “B - C-down” or something similar. When I change it to DInput, my controller doesn't work. This will allow you to use springless triggers and even remap the controller in steam.
Mayflash gamecube adapter pc mapping install#
Instead of using PC mode, you use WiiU mode, and install the vjoy drivers from the WiiU adapter guide. In PC mode, Icons doesn't register springless triggers, but there is a workaround (which I myself use). I don't have any issues w/ the windows drivers for me. Third set dead zone of 5 on main stick 15 on c stick. Second change radius on both sticks to 100.

How do you configure the C stick (they dont go fully up or down) and the R button (only the L button seems to be registered, the analogy feature) on the default windows drivers? and here įirst of all use DInput instead of SDL. Could you post a pic of your gcpad settings?

Anyways I uninstalled Mayflash's crappy drivers as all they did was cause problems and I just use the default automatic Windows drivers. Think of it like a game that only reads your inputs. But why would it also happen when I click on "GCPad" without having started up a game?īecause the GCPad settings receives inputs too. I'm not sure what that techno babble (overhead choked) means, but yeah, I'm playing Smash Bros Brawl and Smash Bros Melee.
